Großglockner Tour

Vötter’s motorcycle tours through Salzburg

Großglockner Tour

We start at Vötter’s in Kaprun and drive along the old Kaprun road towards Bruck a. d. Glocknerstraße. On long drawn-out curves we head towards Fusch, up a slight incline to the Großglockner toll station Ferleiten with its famous game park. A short stop is definitely worthwhile – perhaps a quick refreshment before conquering the mountain.

After the tollbooth (discounted biker toll cards are available at the reception) we ride towards the Fuscher Törl to the Edelweißspitze at 2,572 m with a viewing terrace and the first view of our Alps (don’t forget to take a photo!). After this indulgence, things really get going:

The next stop is the Kaiser-Franz-Josefs-Höhe at an altitude of 2,369 m – from there you have the first opportunity to catch a glimpse of the imposing Großglockner. The famous Bikers Point is another highlight on the most beautiful tour in Austria. A short stop is an absolute must to enjoy the already 27 hairpin bends and the view.

Now we drive down the wonderfully winding road towards Heiligenblut – the well-known place of pilgrimage. Now we are faced with the decision to return to the 27 bends in the direction of Bruck – Zell am See – Kaprun – or continue in the direction of Lienz – over the Felbertauern road (and through the Felbertauern tunnel – beware there is a combined toll) to Mittersill – Uttendorf – Niedernsill – Kaprun.

After such a dream tour, returning home is especially nice and the day should end with a glass of wine at the regulars’ table or on the terrace.

We put mountains between
you and your everyday life.
